On Easter Saturday 3rd April 2010, 17 teenagers from AYF (with Gavin, Gary Daniel and Claire Westwood from APC)
went to Tesco's in Solihull for the second of our supermarket bag packing activities.

They were helping to raise money for Betel
a worldwide organisation dedicated to restoring broken lives, lives that
have been decimated often by alcohol and drug abuse.
Gavin, our curate took the team by mini bus and a great day was had by all.
Gavin has a close relationship with Betel and several from our church family have visited their
Birmingham base and seen first hand the wonderful work they do.

This was a hard day's work for our teenagers, and we wish to say a huge thank you to each person that went.

Here's who went:

Jessie Morris; Emily Ward; Savannah Cook; Natalie Webster; Holly Ray; Beth Evans; Katie Arblaster; Stephen Arnold; Michael Haywood;
Katie McDonald; Dan Leng; Emily Riley; Hannah Clay; Katie Ward; Vicki Williams; Keelia Evans; Loretta McKeever

Gavin's comments:
Another great day - everyone worked well, and the Betel guys were very grateful to us. We've met a lot of people today, and witnessed to a lot
 of people - some receptive, some not, but the sight of lots of great teenagers working together so well must have an impact for Jesus!
Once again I'm delighted to have the chance to spend a day alongside such a great bunch of people as YF - and once again they've proved
through their actions that their hearts are very much in the right place! Well done and many thanks, one and all!
