On Monday
18th April 2011 until Wednesday 20th April 2011 about 70 of us set off
from Aldridge for our annual time away at
Cloverley Hall, in Shropshire. Cloverley has
always been a special place for YF and this year again
proved no exception.
The reason we went so much later in the year was because
there was a mix up over the dates back in February so
the
Easter holidays was decided to be the best time to go.
We couldn't have wished for nicer weather! The sun was
magnificent and seeing Cloverley with so many of the
spring trees and flowers out was an added bonus.
Phil Wilks, our youth coordinator was our weekend
speaker and he was brilliant
as we looked at some of the great men of God from Old
Testament days.
Pictures and uTube clips below, show the fun we had and
the serious teaching that went on over the weekend.
We also of course had to have a crazy concert, which this year was exceptional.
What a talented group we have. Our grateful thanks to
Phil for all his hard work in preparing the talks;
to our leadership team in making it all
possible,
and our teenagers who were just such a joy to be with.
More items will be added soon, so please check back
(Phil's weekend talks can be listened to
here & as a podcast)

At the weekend, we said goodbye to
one of our AYF leaders - Josh Blunt
Josh is soon to be married and he and his new wife will
be attending a different church.
We are so grateful for all the input Josh has given the
group, we are going to miss him.
We wish him, and Helen, every happiness in their new married life
together.
